Warren Brander

Warren Brander was born and raised in Canada. He worked as a business consultant for top Canadians companies until his love story with Puerto Vallarta began around 15 years ago when he and Greg came to a wedding without knowing much about the destination. It was love at first sight and he fell in love with the people, the culture and the authenticity of PV and after being here for only a week they put an offer on a place thinking they will use it as a vacation place to come back every year from Canada and retire here 20 years later. It only took 3 years to realize that it was the right place for their family and couldn’t wait till retirement, so they packed their family and moved here. Warren started in real estate when a mom from his kid’s school decided to move to Spain and she needed someone to take over her real estate agency in Bucerias, and he did. That is how he got into the business, got AMPI certified, worked in three other agencies before opening Warren Brander Realty Group. 

Warren is particularly proud of the team he has built, “we have a great team. We have a cross section of demographic and age groups and languages. So, there is really an agent for everyone. We speak French, Spanish and English. We’ve got years of combined experience. We’ve got Canadians, we’ve got Mexicans, we’ve got Americans, we´ve even got television personalities! We’re all AMPI certified. We’ve done all our training. We take continuing education very seriously. And we ensure that we have all our credentials in place. We offer everything that our clients could possibly want and need, plus the experience and knowledge of Mexican real estate law, local regulations, and life as an ex-pat in Mexico.”

My first visit to Puerto Vallarta with Warren was in January 2009, for my brother’s wedding.  Warren had been to Vallarta years earlier.  This was my first trip.  I had no idea what to expect other than a week of relaxation in a typical resort town.   

Boy was I wrong.   

As we drove through town the charm of this beautiful city somehow captivated me.  As we passed the lovely hillside homes in 5 de Diciembre I quietly announced I could live here.  I’m not considered to be impulsive, but that week we made an offer on a condominium in the Marina (without the help of a realtor).  That deal did not pan out.  However, 2 months later we did buy our first place in Vallarta (this time with the help of a realtor).  Our plan was to use it to vacation, and then retire full time twenty years later.  Yes, things can change.  We loved Vallarta so much that after three years, we pulled up stakes and, with our two young children, moved to Vallarta!  We love it here and have never looked back. 

I continued to work at my job at Bank of Montreal in Canada, while Warren played Mr. Mom in Vallarta with the kids.  After a couple of years, Warren had the opportunity to take over a real estate business, and quickly became a qualified expert.   I made the move a few years later. 

My background is in bank marketing and client service management.  Over the years I have helped thousands of clients with their financial needs and ultimately held senior marketing roles focusing on strategic planning, including programs that focused on doing what’s right for clients. 

He has a Master’s of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.  My studies focused on a broad range of subjects with specializations in Finance and Marketing. 

I have learned Vallarta from the ground up. Both as a new resident, learning the culture and practices here, and as being a certified AMPI member. I have studied Mexican real estate law, the civil code, and real estate practices in tourist zones, as well as a number of other programs.  Combined my practical and technical learnings and experiences, along with my educational background equip me to serve my clients in the best way possible. 

Buying property in Mexico and making the transition to a home in a new country can be both exciting and eye-opening.

Alex Breceda

Alex Breceda was born in Mexico and lived most of his life in Fresno California, before returning to Puerto Vallarta in 2008.  Alex is loved by our clients, real estate colleagues and our team for his dedication to his work. In his spare time, he is a wrestling couch and a very loving godfather to Cami. 

Andrea Thompson

Andrea brings the same commitment to real estate that she brought to her 30-year entertainment career in film and television.  

Her credits include JAG, 24 and 4 seasons on ABC’s award-winning police drama NYPD Blue as Detective Jill Kirkendall. She is an accomplished journalist and worked as a breaking news reporter for CBS News and was the lead prime time anchor for CCN Headline News. During her journalism career she has had the opportunity of working with First Lady Laura Bush in her literacy program.  

After successful careers in entertainment and journalism she felt it was time to shake up her life and try something new. Since real estate had always been her passion, she started her third career in real estate 18 years ago. Andrea moved to PV in 2017 and has worked in real estate ever since. Andrea is committed to delivering exceptional service that exceeds clients’ expectations and to finding the property of their dreams from condos with expansive ocean views, luxury villas, family homes to boutique hotels and commercial opportunities. Freddy Caire

Freddy was raised in Cuernavaca, Morelos, known as the City of Eternal Spring because of its mild climate. His parents taught him that hard work, honesty, and perseverance are the keys for success. His motto: “Treat people as you like to be treated” has been the pillar of his life.

Jim McKinnon

Jim, or Jimmy as his Mexican friends call him, is happily married to his wife Angela, who is also a realtor in Canada, and enjoys spending time with their six adult children, and grandchildren whenever time and opportunity allows. 

Jim is passionate about educating buyers and sellers on the real estate process and supporting them throughout their real estate transactions. Yoli Acevedo

Originally from the exhilarating Dominican Republic, Yoli has lived in Puerto Vallarta since 2007.  

Yoli studied art and design at La Escuela de Diseño, a campus of the world-renowned Parsons School of Design of New York City.  While in college she met her soon to be husband who also happened to be a hotelier.  Yoli paused her design career to travel the world with her husband, a choice that allowed her to soak up different cultures, tastes, flavors and colors.  Her unique experiences have helped her develop a greater understanding of the wants and needs of others. 

Yoli’s passions for design and visual arts have paved the way for her to be constantly reinventing her universe and herself.  She sees the opportunity to integrate interior design and the arts, with real estate and, in doing so, create a wonderful symbiosis for her clients. 

Yoli sees her clients’ wellbeing as her calling, with each client needing their own sacred space, a space that nourishes and protects, regardless of the external influences of daily life.
