If you are listing your home, consider limiting the amount of entertaining you plan to ensure that your house can be toured by buyers as often as possible.
• Use a lighter approach to holiday decorating. Although having your home looking festive can certainly inspire buyers to the idea of having a tropical vacation home to spend the holidays, having decorations on every surface can distract from the true architecture and flow of your home. Use a subtle hand when decorating to help potential buyers see your property for all its year-round qualities.
